Serving and Storing

Serving Recommendations

MinisFrom your freezer, St. Clair Ice Cream desserts can be served immediately. For best results, let desserts temper at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes (depending on your freezer) before serving. This ensures that the ice cream or sorbet will soften, while the outer glaze remains crunchy.

We do not recommend serving our desserts directly from dry ice. If you must serve from dry ice, make sure to let desserts temper – right off the dry ice, they’re so cold they will freeze to your lips or tongue! Proper tempering from the dry ice can take 20 to 30 minutes.

If you are planning to serve on a metal tray or plate, we recommend using leaves or a folded-napkin between the desserts and the serving surface. Metal will conduct heat to the products – or cold away from them – making them melt faster.

Storage Recommendations

Properly stored, St. Clair Ice Cream desserts will stay fresh in your freezer for up to 3 weeks. Before storing them in the freezer place your St. Clair Ice Cream desserts in plastic bags or plastic containers such as Tupperware. This will extend their shelf life by reducing their contact with air in the freezer.
